Carolina grew up surrounded by art, fashion and gemstones. She describes these everyday influences as at the core of who she is, and while she went on to study business, she was always drawn back to her innate sense of creativity. Finally, in 2012 she leaned into her instinct and launched her eponymous collection.

The lissez-faire conveyed in the fluidity of lines and melding of shapes throughout her collections is enhanced by the intensity of thought and consideration inherent in the narratives she weaves into her designs.

Energized by other women’s stories, she continually soaks in their tales and observes their behaviors before re-contextualizing their life experiences and unique world views in pieces that become an extension of their attitudes.

Her unshakable faith in the possibilities of the artform is evident in her bold approach to the creative process and her reliance on precious metals and gemstones as a conduit for the stories she strives to tell through her work. Melding eras like Art Deco and Art Nouveau, she reconciles the paradox of bold geometric lines and fluid curves in pieces that are at once elegant and irreverent.

While she relies upon her trusted team, Carolina is intimately involved with all touchpoints of the brand. Dividing her time between her studio in Vitória in Espírito Santo, São Paulo and New York City, she incorporates the energy of each into her work, and whether on set, in her studio, or in her salon at COUTURE, Carolina establishes a warm and inviting environment in which to engage her team and welcome friends and clients.
