y all accounts, fine jewelry had a great holiday season! Store owners and sales associates are exhausted but happy, and designers and brands are basking in the glow of knowing they added so much sparkle to the season. We wanted to get a sense of what collectors and thoughtful gift givers were drawn to in their selections, and we discovered that, just like the aesthetics represented here, tastes and sentiments ran the gamut.

From pieces that incorporate alternative materials like wood, enamel and titanium in big looks that offset the ever-rising price of gold, to bold, gold designs that prove that the metal really is the new flex, COUTURE’s talented designers and brands showcased an enticing level of creativity and ingenuity.

Reliably, jewelry’s enduring tie to emotions played a role in the season’s most in-demand designs. Whether in symbolic amulets and narrative designs, pieces inspired by nostalgia or whimsy, the classic romance of florals, or the primal connection to color, these pieces come from the heart.

A few of our designers and brands had banner sales, with bespoke projects and iconic designs finding new homes with lucky collectors, like stalwart brand Marina B, who called the sale of their Irreversible Collar set with pink tourmalines one of the their “triumphs of 2025.” They explain, “As regal as it is romantic, the Irreversible Collar proved irresistible when the husband of a client saw the piece worn on a model at an exclusive presentation of the house’s high jewelry pieces.”

Tini Courtney of HOWL was excited to find a home for her Noah diamond necklace, enthusing, “She’s a real stunner and a true heirloom.”

Designer Jade Ruzzo marks a commissioned project as one of the season’s highlights, explaining, “One of my favorite projects that we worked on this holiday season was a custom Atha Chain necklace with three different center pendants representing the birthstones of my client’s three children.”

RECARLO painted a vivid picture of the self-purchase of one of their signature designs from the point of view of her sales associate, who waxed poetic about that unicorn moment when “a client discovers not just jewelry, but a daily reminder of self-love, a sparkling reminder that loving yourself isn’t selfish, it’s essential!”

Designers speculate on what the motivators are, without questioning the desire. Debuting COUTURE brand, İTÄ said their Bosfor faceted oval bead strand in several colorways continued to sell well, “They were the perfect addition of gemstones and color for gifts, holiday parties, and holiday getaways. Clients loved that they can wear our strands with charms of their own.”
