Here Comes the Bridal

W
hile COUTURE is well-known globally for the daring and innovative designs of its designers and brands, the event also features the beautiful work of several brands who specialize in the bridal market. And while their designs are a bit more traditional than some of the fashion-focused jewelry our retailers and press are accustomed to seeing, they each employ unique “twists” in their creative process. Whether combining contemporary, American design aesthetics with a European sensibility, or featuring rare colored diamonds in their work, these designers and brands strike a beautiful balance between avant-garde and classic. Below is a selection of a few of these remarkable brands.

Verragio Eternity Bands

Verragio:

The designer behind Verragio, Barry Verragio, has over 25 years of experience designing for some of the most well-known names in jewelry. The expertise he has garnered throughout his career has given him a discerning eye for quality craftsmanship. Barry first began his journey in jewelry as an apprentice, where he quickly discovered a natural design ability. He further honed his acumen studying at New York City’s famed Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). Eventually, based on the development of his then exclusive setting technique coupled with his mastery of ring design, he established his own company. That very proprietary technique was the beginning of Barry’s realization that the possibilities in engagement ring design are endless. “Albert Einstein once said that the definition of insanity was ‘doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results,” he explains. “This is the exact theory that has fueled me to believe that one should never settle for average.”

COUTURE is pleased to welcome Verragio for the first time in 2022. The brand’s vast selection of rings have their foundation in classic design with a decidedly modern twist.

Michael M

Michael M:

After more than two decades of running his own jewelry manufacturing facility in Downtown LA, in 2008, Michael Meksian and his son Peter launched MICHAEL M. Celebrated for its prolific designs, the brand is also revered for its impeccable customer service, ensuring that every touch point of the buying experience is best-in-class, from the original purchase to follow-up care.

COUTURE will mark the foray new additions to the brand’s Trinity collection. “This is one of our favorites,” said a brand spokesperson. “The pear side stones are very on trend this year, and the incredible pavé hidden halo detailing under each stone makes for a truly dazzling ring!”
