orn in Rome, to a Palestinian-Jordanian father and a Turkish mother, Mira Sadi was motivated to launch ISTINARA by a desire to actively contribute to making the world a better place. Her commitment is all-encompassing and is demonstrated in the conscientiousness she devotes to all touchpoints of her brand, from materials to craftspeople. Applying her entrepreneurial spirit to building opportunities within the ecosystem of the business, Mira is stalwart in her determination to create beauty while also giving back to communities and protecting the environment.

Fluent in several languages, Mira spent most of her early years in Jordan before moving to Montreal to attend the prestigious McGill University, and then to London to study at Oxford. She left a successful career in the corporate world to found an eponymous jewelry brand, MIRA, which she ran successfully from London for years.

In a moment of contemplation and soul searching, however, she realized that she had larger goals that transcended mere commercial success, so she decided to align her actions with her intentions and the idea of ISTINARA was born.

Established and active online in 2023, the official brand launch took place at the Doha Jewelry and Watches Show in February of 2025, while COUTURE 2025 played host to ISTINARA’s U.S. debut. With an inexhaustible resolution that is one of her defining characteristics, Mira is currently working on establishing the brand’s first flagship store at the end of October, in what she will only tell us is in the United States, “On a very cool street, in a very cool area, in a very cool city!”

The design motif that lies at the center of the brand, a dragonfly, represents its guiding tenet. A symbol of transformation, dragonfly design motifs and the exclusive use of recycled silver and gold evoke the circular journey of life.

Dividing her time between London and Istanbul, Mira creates pieces that celebrate individuality and honor the complexity of life’s ebbs and flows and the transformations that exist within both man and nature. There is a duality that is conveyed in the designs, the tension of masculine and feminine energies harmonized in fluid lines and balanced compositions of metal and stone.

Offering a principal collection crafted in 18k, recycled gold, and recycled silver pieces in their Statement collection, the brand’s Collector’s Edition features bespoke designs that fuse together 18k gold, silver, diamonds and precious gemstones. Serving as Creative and Strategic Director of the brand, Mira collaborates closely with skilled, independent artisans in Istanbul, entrusting them to bring her designs to life by hand using ancient manufacturing techniques.

In yet another step forward in their mission of attaining a 360 degree approach to impact-driven design, the packaging for ISTINARA’s pieces is designed and engineered by underprivileged, Palestinian mothers living in Jordan. Lovingly crafted, the intricate logo design is embroidered on natural fabrics, with wood carefully cut and meticulously stained by hand, resulting in a presentation that rivals the beauty of the jewelry it contains.
