Mindi’s professional career began in New York City’s garment district. Taking a break to raise her young children, as the kids grew old enough for pre-school, Mindi began spending the novel free time antiquing, visiting some of those same dealers her mother had frequented.

She started making pieces for herself, reimagining antique jewelry through the lens of a modern lifestyle, and working with trusted craftspeople and stone dealers to realize her vision. These first, unique creations garnered attention and admiration by friends and strangers alike.

Encouraged by her vendors to take a leap and start her own brand and empowered by her husband’s confidence, in 2009, Mindi launched her eponymous collection. Her refined and expressive designs were immediately embraced by influential editors who put her work firmly in the spotlight, and her reputation among celebrities and serious collectors was cemented.
