ounded in the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul in 1974, boutique fine jewelry brand, Terzihan, continues to be family owned with brothers Cem and Can Terzihan serving as Creative and Managing Directors respectively. The family was originally from Mardin, one of the oldest cities in the upper Mesopotamia, where they lived among Christians, Arabs, Turks, Kurdish Turks and many other small ethnic groups for three centuries. The brand’s edgy, modern vision expands upon the vocabulary of traditional Turkish design, fusing age-old techniques with a contemporary, unorthodox style. Bold colored gemstone combinations and daring silhouettes evoke an avant-garde interpretation of the “Dolce Vita” of the Mediterranean, the multi-cultural environment of Southern Europe and the sumptuous luxury of the Middle East. Paying homage to nature and ancient civilizations, their work is influenced by both ancient and modern architecture.
With its dedicated team of master craftsmen working in the heart of a city of master jewelers, Terzihan is distinctive in its free-spirited approach to design.

The brand’s Neutra Collection is representative of the brand’s inclusive mentality through its embrace of the forms and stylistic concepts of diverse cultures. With pyramidal shapes dedicated to Ancient Egypt, precisely symmetrical construction an ode to Japanese Zen culture, Aztec-inspired triangles conjuring South American culture, and domes illustrative of European cathedrals, the collection captures the essence of a particular place and time. The visual complexity of natural stones such as malachite, white agate and lapis lazuli juxtaposed against lustrous white diamonds and high-polished 18k gold is breathtaking, and the stories and history inherent in its construction are profoundly impactful.

Terzihan’s Fizzy Collection embodies the effortless elegance of Mediterranean culture. Bright colors of enamel in cutting-edge forms result in a fresh and modern, seasonless style. Their most recent collection, Black Editions, is a blend of the strongest pieces in the Neutra and Fizzy Collections and flirts with a more moody, genderless aesthetic. Black Editions is an expression of the brand’s authentic individualism and gives further voice to their philosophy of inclusion and giving voice to the past, present and future.

Each piece in Terzihan’s extensive collections is expertly crafted in the brand’s Istanbul-based Atelier, ensuring complete quality control. With its dedicated team of master craftsmen working in the heart of a city of master jewelers, Terzihan is distinctive in its free-spirited approach to design. The brand’s boutique in Lisbon is arguably one of that city’s best kept secret. Glamour and sumptuous, the Avenida Liberdade location is perfect for welcoming its growing roster of friends and collectors. My brother Can and I have both spent a long time in Lisbon; a city that emerged from its blend of European and Arabic culture,” explains Cem Terzihan, the brand’s Creative Director. “For a long time, Lisbon and Istanbul were both considered the outliers of Europe. They both marked different ends of Southern Europe, and were vastly influenced by diverse cultures. For us, both cities have a huge potential with rich heritage, which defines us and our brand respectively.”
