ine jewelry brand Venyx is the expression of an imaginary world as envisioned by its founder, designer Eugenie Niarchos. A “mystical planet,” the dream-like universe is filled with mythological creatures, futuristic possibilities, sublimely lush landscapes and celestial themes. Her ideas transcend boundaries of space and time, with retro-futuristic designs that combine classically inspired design concepts with modern-day aesthetics. A lover of travel, Eugenie interprets vivid imagery from her travels and adventures in unexpected shapes and forms. With clean lines juxtaposed against richly complex gemstones, unique color combinations and astonishing details, her pieces convey stories from history, the beauty of nature and the inevitable evolution of the world around us.
Venyx World’s jewelry pays homage to Greek gods, the ornate aesthetics of kings and queens, pre-Columbian and ancient Egyptian motifs, and Mother Earth.

With a background in fashion, London-based Eugenie studied fine jewelry and diamonds at the Gemological Institute of America before working for the Fine Jewelry Department at Christie’s in New York City. She launched Venyx in 2013, naming the brand after a combination of Venus, the planet, and Onyx, the gemstone because she liked the word’s mysteriously evocative effect. Attuned to the ebbs and flows of the human form, her pieces are sensually engineered, hugging and draping the body seamlessly. Working in 18k yellow and gray gold, sometimes with rhodium accents, Eugenie incorporates one-of-a-kind gemstones and high-quality diamonds throughout her body of work.

Venyx World’s jewelry pays homage to Greek gods, the ornate aesthetics of kings and queens, pre-Columbian and ancient Egyptian motifs, and Mother Earth. Her Mother Earth collection was created in honor of World Earth Day and features pieces named for Gaea, the personification of Earth as goddess, her daughter Rhea, and Atlas, the Titan of Strength and Endurance who carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. Her Astraea collection was named after the mythological ancient Greek star maiden Astraea, daughter of Astraeus and Eos. Capturing the essence of an endless starry night, in the collection, gemstones serve as a backdrop for star patterns and contrasts in texture and colors mimic the night sky.

As her collection continues to grow, Eugenia continually challenges herself. Always looking ahead, she is intentional in how she allows her life experiences to permeate her creative process. Her Instagram account is a travel log of adventures, often revealing direct design inspirations through abstract imagery and patterns of light and color, leaving followers and collectors wondering where her imagination will take us next.
