right, candy-colored hues often equate to joy, especially when seen in the colorful creations of talented COUTURE designers. The bursts of colors that can be seen in gemstones and enamel showcased here spark a sense of positivity and happiness, and are the perfect complement to the light, breezy ensembles that emerge during the warm months of Spring and Summer.
We often affirm that the designers and brands who are a part of the COUTURE community are artists whose medium is precious metals and gemstones. Just as a painter finesses the image she wants to evoke through her palette and brushstrokes, COUTURE designers understand the inherent qualities of gemstones and enamel, and are able to articulate human emotions through their choices of color combinations, textures and proportion. After a difficult and challenging year, the desire to express hope for brighter days ahead through jewelry is undeniable, and these colorful pieces give us many exquisite options for articulating that sentiment.

Twinkle Twinkle
Designer Emily P. Wheeler‘s love of gemstones is a core foundation of her brand. Drawing on her years of experience as a fashion model, as well as influences from her father, an architecture photographer, she combines her organically developed knowledge of gemstones into sleek, geometric designs with wholly contemporary color combinations.
Emily’s Twinkle collection combines colorful enamel with gemstones and is, according to the designer, “a celebration of joy.” Her desire to spread joy through her jewelry extends to the values she is committed to as a brand. A member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), her pieces are designed with recycled 18k gold and Kimberly Process-certified, conflict-free diamonds. With goals to uphold environmental responsibility, Emily continually makes ethical business decisions that are focused on social impact, and aligns herself with gemstone dealers and others in the ecosystem of her business that maintain the same principles.

Celestial themes are a foundational aesthetic of the brand, and can be seen throughout her extensive collections. As a child, Andrea was always curious about the phase of the moon at any given time. This fascination with the sky is articulated both literally and symbolically, and has evolved to include her artistic interpretation of the sky at all phases of the day and night. The designer’s Moon Phase collection allows her collectors to customize a piece that commemorates life events like weddings, births and anniversaries with a brilliant showcase of the phase of the moon on a specific day.
