ithin the fine jewelry industry, Las Vegas Market Week is often referred to as our “Super Bowl.” For those in fashion, the Met Gala is arguably their Super Bowl. This annual themed event, which takes place on the first Monday of May, pays homage to some moment or icon of fashion history. From “Heavenly Bodies” to “Camp,” models, actors, athletes, editors and influencers all showcase their interpretation of the theme with their sartorial decisions and, under the watchful eye of Anna Wintour and all the rest the fashion obsessed, those choices are scrutinized and celebrated for years.
Notably, the event also drove home the point that "men's jewelry" is whatever a man (or one who identifies as a man) chooses to wear....

This year’s Gala theme was “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” which honored the creative legacy of the late designer who, in the words of Vogue magazine, “shaped the face of fashion for more than half a century.” Not surprisingly, pearls figured prominently on the red carpet (Mr. Lagerfeld was an avid lover of pearls), but there were other awe-inspiring looks in diamonds and gemstones. Notably, the event also drove home the point that “men’s jewelry” is whatever a man (or one who identifies as a man) chooses to wear….
