hile we love jewelry and timepieces that feature bright pops of color and a rainbow of gemstones and enamel, sometimes we want to express our moodier side. With Halloween just around the corner, and the critical acclaim of Wednesday and it’s star studded cast of characters taking hold of our collective conscience, we were inspired to feature some of nature’s darker shades.

While many of the motifs submitted, like skulls, snakes and spiders, venture into the forbidding and the palettes are more subdued, in the hands of COUTURE’s talented designers and brands, these pieces are anything but spooky.

Featuring jet black onyx, black enamel, pumpkin orange gems, awe-inspiring opals, blackened metals or diamonds set like an elaborate spider’s web, these pieces, whether a nod to mischievousness or an homage to gothic style, would be perfectly suited for a range of style sensibilities.
