hen they first arrived in Las Vegas to make their debut in COUTURE’s Design Atelier, Morgan Mackintosh of LÖF Jewellery and Jessica and Holly Ohliguer of OHLIGUER quickly realized they had more in common than being new to the show. With salons right next to one another, they immediately noticed that the colorway of their packaging was similar. They admired one another’s’ jewelry, noting that while they were on the surface very different, they shared an essence of opulence, of elevated edgy and a more-is-more attitude.
A version of this story appeared in The Fall Issue of The COUTURE Magazine.

A friendship quickly formed. Being new to COUTURE was daunting, and adding to the normal amount of anxiety, Jessica and Holly had traveled from the other side of the world in Australia, Morgan was at the show on her own, and it was the first time any of them had ever been to Las Vegas.

They went on to experience COUTURE and Las Vegas together from a “safe little bubble.” They helped out at each other’s salons to ensure everyone had time to eat and take little breaks during the day, and the nights were full of taking in all that Sin City has to offer.

Following their time together at the show, they decided to keep the good times rolling by joining forces for collaborative trunk shows and personal appearances. They came up with a concept for a traveling pop up, with a formula for both presentation and ambiance, and fun merch emblazoned with both of their logos and the collab’s tagline, “Caution, Jewels are Hot!”

Their first joint appearance took place this September in a high end Upper West Side hotel. Entitled Volume I, the days long event was the first of many planned for the season ahead. They say they are looking forward to continuing to interact with many of the people they met at COUTURE, and note that it’s so much better and more fun to embark on these adventures together.
