Born and raised in Manhattan, Tara grew up the only daughter of two fashion designers who designed clothing and accessories for some of the most celebrated names in fashion, rock n’ roll and the silver screen. Influences of this strong world-view have helped refine her visual language, which contains a sense of discovery and exploration outside of one’s own boundaries. She is also deeply influenced by her fascination with the water, which began during the years she lived on a sailboat, traveling through the French Riviera, the Amalfi Coast, the Balearic Islands, the African Coast and the Caribbean.

A reverence for water’s power of movement and its ability to harness energy and catch light are evident throughout ONDYN’s collections. Hand-crafted in 14k gold, the jewelry moves with the essence of its wearer, with a signature articulated diamond bezel setting evoking a fluid, sculptural identity. Combining technical ingenuity with sophisticated, architectural silhouettes, ONDYN’s jewelry drapes like a second skin, taking shape on the body with a kinetic flow that results in a unique visual language. ONDYN’s COUTURE Design Award entry in the “Best in Diamonds Under $20,000” Category won first place in 2021, an astonishing accomplishment for a first-time exhibitor in such a highly competitive category. The “Eminence Earrings,” long, articulated diamond earrings that climb up the wearer’s ear with bezel set diamonds cascading alongside the neck in a repeated, gradual pattern, captivated the judges’ attention for their sensual beauty and the technical acumen employed in their fabrication. From the stage while accepting her award, Tara enthused, “Wow, thank you so much! This is our first year here, thank you for such a warm reception for ONDYN. Thank you for seeing and really recognizing our brand’s ethos and celebrating it.”
